UPDATE March 2006
This is the cover image for OLOGY magazine issue #9. What to tell you about this...hmmm. Well, it is motivated by the usual considerations, the technological as it shapes culture, and also by personal experience. The title is a tribute to more pulp-culture but don't worry about that right now. This work straddles the line between tipping the hat to the Op Art movement and lowbrow parlor tricks, digitally speaking. I did incorporate the technique with reason to reinforce the significance... not merely to be coy or gimmicky. 3-D glasses recommended. [The blue (L) - red (R) kind] For those of you equipped with them, I invite you to look just a little deeper. This is all just PS paint/drawing. Thanks for viewing! |
